“The Transatlantic Green Tech Awards”, for excellence in converting innovative Green Tech ideas into products for the market

The first Transatlantic Green Platform gathered some 200 key European and US Green Tech players from Industry, Services, Research, Investment and Policy. The conference included presentations to an international ten-member Jury by of a pre-selection of 20 European and US innovative Green Tech start-ups whcin were evaluated according to criteria such as innovation, technological excellence, capacity of internationalization, maturity of development, growth and market potential.

The first Transatlantic Green Tech trophies were presented to the Winners during the awards ceremony at the Transatlantic Green Platform closing session on June 5.

Winning company from Europe:

PMGPerpetuum Ltd (UK)

to CEO Roy Freeland, for having refined the principle of gathering and converting unused mechanical vibration, into useable electrical energy to power industrial wireless sensors.

The trophies were awarded by Danüta Hübner, European Commissioner for Regional Policy, William Becker, Executive Director of the US Presidential Climate Action Project, Pierre Guénant, President of the World Investment Conference, Co-Chairman of the Europe Plus Foundation and Chairman of the PSA Group, and Patrick Gounelle, CEO of Ernst and Young for France and Southern Europe, Co-Chairman of the Europe Plus Foundation.
